Rhoberta Jones Haley is a professor for the graduate department in the School of Nursing and director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice program. She is an ANCC board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has served in administrative positions at various universities as a program director, director of academic practice, director of academic nursing clinics, and director of nursing. She was the director of regulatory affairs and nursing development for a national corporation.

Her teaching experience includes health assessment, pharmacology, APN patient management, leadership, community nursing, bioethics, and research. Her FNP clinical practice has encompassed the areas of family practice, internal medicine, frail/elderly care, homeless/sheltered family care, sports medicine, pediatrics, school nursing, and women’s health. Research interests include Diffusion of Innovation theory, program evaluation, homeless adults and families’ access to and utilization of healthcare services, qualitative research including Grounded Theory studies, and the use of technology in nursing education and the business of healthcare. Business activities include consultation, technology services, retail, professional coaching, and continuing education courses for APNs.

Dr. Haley delights in working with students on clinical projects, presentations, and translational research projects.
