Distinctives
- Approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (CBRN).
- Graduates are eligible for the California RN License and Public Health Nursing Certificate.
- MSN graduates are eligible for certification as Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) and/or certification as a Nurse Practitioner in California.
- MSN graduates with the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) specialization are qualified to sit for the FNP national certifying examination.
- Clinical experiences include care of diverse cultural/ethnic groups, the poor, the underserved, and the homeless.
Benefits
- Students receive personalized attention in a supportive Christian environment.
- S.C.A.N. students may receive traineeships (partial tuition reimbursement) when available through a federal grant after passing the NCLEX-RN licensing exam.
- Financial aid is available through scholarships and loans.
- Clinical faculty are experienced as clinical nurse specialists or nurse practitioners in a variety of settings.
