Note: Students enrolling in one of the CNS specialties will need to first complete the MSN core courses before they may begin the CNS specialty course requirements listed below. Nurses who already have an MSN from APU or another institution may enroll in a Post-Master’s Credential program to obtain their CNS specialty.
Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) Course Requirements
The Adult CNS Specialty includes 11 clinical units equalling 500 clinical hours. Note: Units shown in parentheses are theory units/clinical units.
