Summer Start Students
In addition to meeting the requirements for university admission, the Summer Start applicant must meet the requirements for admission into the nursing program, as listed below.
Students who have completed 60 or more transferable semester units of college credit in prerequisite and general education courses, including four sciences (anatomy; physiology; microbiology; the equivalent CHEM 111, 112, 114; and all labs) with a minimum grade of C or better may apply to the Summer Start Program and complete the BSN program of study in six continuous, consecutive semesters, including summers. Summer Start Program admission is based on units completed at the time of entrance, grade-point average, date of application, and space availability. Summer Start applicants must meet the BSN generic nursing admission requirements and the prerequisite course requirements as listed below prior to enrolling in UNRS 105. The 60+ units must include:
