Nathalie serves as the administrative coordinator for the Office of World Missions and Mexico Outreach. A native of the Mediterranean Island of Malta, Nathalie moved to California in 2008 to work on her Master of Arts in Anthropology, focusing on International Development and Refugee Studies. She did her fieldwork among Iraqi refugees in El Cajon, San Diego and Beirut, Lebanon, and has a great passion for the region of the Middle East and North Africa.
Previously, Nathalie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a minor in English from the University of Malta and George Mason University in Virginia, while working as a broadcast journalist for Malta’s Public Broadcasting Station. Her deep love for foreign cultures led her to move to Germany where she worked as an online editor for Deutsche Telekom right after graduation. She later moved to London for a finance job, after which she was hired as a translator for the European Commission in Luxembourg. During this time, she made the decision to return to school with a desire to learn more about international development, relief, and aid. One of Nathalie’s dreams is to one day travel around the world with her husband Joshua, who shares her passion for travel and foreign lands.
