Focus International
“Look at the nations and watch and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something amazing in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.” Habakkuk 1:5
Azusa Pacific University’s Office of World Missions sends short-term mission teams around the world. Each year, more than 200 students, faculty, staff, and alumni travel across the United States and the globe to partner with long term and national workers to meet the physical and spiritual needs of respective counterparts. Focus International teams go as learners and servers of long-term workers, respecting the cross-cultural understanding and sensitivity involved as short-term participants. Programs include but are not limited to: educational development, orphan work, conversational English teaching, prayer ministry, mobile medical care clinics, anti-human and sex trafficking, and much more.
Our extensive selection and training process equips each participant to consider their cross-cultural experience as an integral part of their mission lifestyle perspective. We highlight incarnational living and spiritual preparedness in the pre-field, on-field, and post-field re-entering and debriefing processes. The transformational experience continues to give perspective to the participant as they live out their lives in praying, going, sending, and welcoming others as a part of the incarnational lifestyle.
