Course Subjects
The bulk of your academic credits during the Azusa Oxford Semester will come from tutorials (9 units total). There is no exhaustive list of options that you must choose from for these courses. Rather, tutorials are your chance to create courses from subjects relating to your interests and degree requirements. To see a list of topics that have worked well in the past, please consult the following website: www.oxfordprogram.com/program-information/listings/.
Students will need to fill out Transfer Inquiry Forms for the topics they choose to study.
Will my tutorials transfer back for specific APU courses in my Major, Minor, or General Studies?
Students will need to fill out Transfer Inquiry Forms with the Registrar’s Office for both their primary and secondary tutorials as well as their second choice options. This is the only way tutorials will transfer and be approved as certain APU courses. Transfer Inquiry Forms will ensure courses pass departmental review. (For example, if the student is a graphic design major, but they’re taking tutorials on the subject of C.S. Lewis, this form will guarantee that the tutorial has passed the review of someone in the English department, and not just the student’s graphic design advisor, who may not know about the type of credit the student could receive for a C.S. Lewis tutorial). Students should hold onto the copies they receive of all approvals.
