About the Institute
The Pediatric Neurodevelopment Institute is a university-based service provider, research center, and training institute, offering assessment and treatment by experts in such disciplines as pediatric neuropsychology, child psychology, family therapy, developmental nursing, pediatric physical therapy, school psychology, social work, speech and language pathology, and special education. Our philosophy centers on working with the family, school, and community to assist in providing an environment that encourages children to thrive.
We feature a number of unique assessment and treatment options, all based upon best practices in the field and coordinated by an interdisciplinary treatment team. Once a child is evaluated, the appropriate intervention for the child and his or her family, school, and other caregivers is determined. For example, the evaluation may result in a recommendation for further treatment at the Pediatric Neurodevelopment Institute, consultation with the child’s school, or consultation with programs and services in the child’s community. Our primary goal is to provide each child and family with the support they need for the child to reach his or her full potential.
The Pediatric Neurodevelopment Institute provides services by professors, adjunct clinical professors, consultants, and graduate students who are also researching and teaching in disciplines that serve children and families. Ongoing research and training are built into the service provision at the Pediatric Neurodevelopment Institute.
