Speech and Language Assessment

A speech and language assessment is aimed at assessing a child’s communication and oral–motor skills, both verbally and nonverbally, based on his or her age, needs, and ability. Treatment emphasis is on interactive communication. Our speech therapists work with the child to assess the child’s ability to communicate, and consult with other members of the treatment team to coordinate a treatment plan that includes interventions for improving a child’s communication skills.
