Description

The Azusa Pacific University School of Education is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position for the doctoral program in Educational Leadership. The mission of the doctoral program is to prepare educational leaders for positions in P-12 site and district administration plus teaching level positions in higher educational systems.

Responsibilities

The faculty member will have responsibility for: (a) teaching and advising students; (b) scholarship; (c) partnerships with local schools, (d) service to the university.

Level

Associate to full professor. Salary is dependent on the experience and qualifications of the candidate.

Qualifications

  • doctorate degree in educational leadership or a field directly related to school leadership
  • a commitment to Christ,
  • site level and/or district level leadership,
  • education reform,
  • scholarship in educational leadership,
  • teaching higher education courses preferably in one or more of the following areas: Educational Administration, Leadership, Qualitative Research, Ethics, and Teaching and Learning,
  • understanding of effective standards-based reform and research-based initiatives,
  • leadership development within racially and ethnically diverse communities.

Experience

Experience in dissertation supervision is preferred.

Workload

Twelve-month position.
