Description

The Department of Modern Languages invites applications for a French position starting in the fall of 2009. The Department currently offers a Spanish major and minor, but is contemplating a French minor in the near future.

Responsibilities

  • Teach 12 units per semester
  • Advise Spanish major and minors
  • Participate in department duties and university affairs
  • Conduct research in the area of specialty

Level

Rank and salary are based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must have a Ph.D. in French. An ABD will be considered for exceptional candidates
  • Ability to teach Spanish or other Romance languages

Experience

Teaching experience at college level is desired.

Workload

Faculty will teach 24 units per year for a 9-month contract.
