Description

Full-time faculty position in the Undergraduate Physical Education Single-Subject Teaching Credential Program. The qualified individual will teach in the undergraduate physical education department, primarily in the area of teacher preparation and pedagogy, and assist in the administration of the physical education major. The candidate is expected to share in student advising and participate in departmental and university life.

Level

Faculty level and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

A doctorate in physical education or related field is preferred. Candidates should have a demonstrated research potential and a strong commitment to quality teaching in a liberal arts setting.

Experience

Specific expertise and teaching experience must be in Physical Education pedagogy and curriculum development. Previous experience teaching at the college/university level with administrative and accreditation experience is preferred.

Workload

Faculty will teach 27 units for a 10-month contract or 32 units for a 12-month contract. Three of those units may be release time for research activities with more release time negotiable.
