Description
The Undergraduate Program in Psychology at Azusa Pacific University is seeking applications for a full-time faculty position beginning Fall 2010, open until filled. The area of specialization within psychology is open, but the successful candidate must have evidence of excellence in teaching and be able to teach core curriculum courses as well as courses in their specialty area. The candidate will be expected to develop or continue a program of scholarly activity, be committed to mentoring undergraduate research, and participate in department and university life. Position subject to final funding.
Level
Assistant/Associate Professor, Full-time 9 or 10 month contract.
Qualifications
Requirements: Applicants should have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. from a regionally accredited program and if their degree is in clinical, from an APA-accredited program. Candidates should be prepared to integrate their Christian faith in their professional responsibilities.
Experience
Experience with teaching and mentoring undergraduate students, their research, and demonstrated research potential preferred. Applicants from clinical programs should be license eligible.
Workload
Faculty will teach 24 units for a 9-month contract or 27 units for a 10-month contract. 3 or more of those units may be replaced with release time for research activities with more release time negotiable.
