APU Tests New Public Address System
July 28, 2009

Azusa Pacific is enhancing its emergency communications system with the installation of a new public address (PA) system. Installation is scheduled to take place the week of July 27, with speakers installed on East Campus at 901 E. Alosta Ave., West Campus at 701 E. Foothill Blvd., and Administration West at 568 E. Foothill Blvd.

Should installation finish on time, the university plans to test the PA on Wednesday, July 29 at approximately 4 p.m.

During the test, a siren and announcement will be heard by the campus community and some of APU’s neighboring homes and businesses. When you hear the siren and/or announcement test, you DO NOT need to evacuate or take any action.

We apologize for any inconvenience the test may cause. For additional information on APU’s emergency preparedness and procedures, visit www.apu.edu/response/.
