Morris Fire Continues to Burn
August 26, 2009

The Morris Fire, or Angeles National Forest fire, which broke out on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. continues to burn. Smoke is visible from APU's Azusa campus. The campus has not been threatened in any way and remains open.

Currently, the fire has burned more than 750 acres. One thousand Southern California firefighters have been working throughout the night to fight the fire.

Due to the amount of smoke in the air, we encourage individuals, particularly those with heart and lung conditions such as asthma, to stay indoors as much as possible.
