Fire Update - Sun., Aug. 30 August 30, 2009 The Morris Fire is at 95 percent containment, however the Station Fire, at only 5 percent containment, continues to burn and threaten homes. Yesterday nearly 40 homes and cabins were lost to the fire. To date, it has burned through more than 35,000 acres. Evacuation orders continue for many living in that area. The Station Fire is not threatening APU's campus in any way, and is further from campus than the Morris Fire.
