A brush fire burning in the Angeles National Forest near Glendora, named the Williams fire, has not threatened Azusa Pacific's main campus in Azusa in any way. Though smoke can be seen from campus, the fire is located east of campus, and continues to move further east, away from campus.

Currently, the fire has burned more than 3,600 acres and is 5 percent contained.

The university's Incident Command Team and Campus Safety will continue to monitor the situation with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Please pray for those impacted by the fire, as well as the crews working to contain it.
