5.3 Earthquake Shakes; No University Property Damage Reported

According to the USGS, "A moderate earthquake occurred at 1:53:25 PM (PDT) on Thursday, June 16, 2005. The magnitude 5.3 event occurred 5 km (3 miles) NE of Yucaipa, CA. The hypocentral depth is 12 km (8 miles)." Aftershocks continue.

As of 2:20 p.m., no university property was damaged in the event. Classes at the High Desert Regional Center in Victorville and Inland Empire Regional Center in San Bernardino will remain on schedule.
