APU Not Impacted by Fires
September 29, 2005

Last updated: September 29, 10:30 a.m.

As of September 29, 2005, the Topanga Fire continues to burn across 7,000 acres along the Los Angeles and Ventura County boarders, threatening homes and forcing evacuations.

This fire has not threatened the Azusa Pacific University campus or Ventura Regional Center in any way, though the center is experiencing smoke as a result of the fires. The California-118 and US-101 freeways remain open.

The Ventura Regional Center is open, and this evening’s classes will continue as scheduled. The center asks any students or faculty who may be impacted by this fire to call the center at (877) 210-8840.

Please join us in prayer for the families affected by the fire, and the men and women fighting it.
