The Santa Anita Fire continues to burn in the foothills above Sierra Madre and Arcadia. As of 8 p.m. last night, the fire had burned 538 acres and was 21 percent contained.
The APU campus remains out of danger.
The South Coast Air Quality Management District issued an advisory for the East San Gabriel Valley yesterday due to unhealthy levels of air quality. The advisory encourages individuals, particularly those with heart and lung conditions such as asthma, to stay indoors as much as possible and avoid nonessential outdoor activities.
