Saluting Our Teachers Program
Teachers Are Heroes
Azusa Pacific University and Lincoln Financial Media Company of California are
teaming up to honor some of the hardest working people in San Diego County.
Each day, teachers make a difference in their communities, one child at a time.
They bring hope, encouragement, and the ability to dream beyond the four walls
of the classroom, enabling students to become change agents in the world around
them. Once a month, Teachers Are Heroes will recognize
a local teacher who personifies dedication, both to his/her students and profession.
Each honoree will receive a plaque, prizes, and a classroom party. All selected
teachers and their classes will attend a private celebration at the end of the
year at the world famous San Diego Zoo.
