Expertise
China
The world's most populous country has become more influential in world events in recent years largely due to their economic power. The traditional way of life is changing for many Chinese people as China modernizes and further engages the West. International cooperation is expanding and the number of foreign firms and expatriates in China is on the rise.
Economic Development
State and local governments employ numerous policies and programs designed to create jobs and spur overall economic growth within their jurisdictions. The stated goals of these programs and policies typically include business attraction, business retention, and business development, and so-called "equity" development techniques.
Economic Policy
Governments use a variety of fiscal and monetary policies to encourage economic growth, control inflation, limit unemployment, and avoid recession.
Statistics
Statistics is the science of collecting, organizing, presenting, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative data (and sometimes qualitative) to assist in making more effective decisions. Statistics are used in virtually every industry, and recently statistics have taken a prominent place in the field of management under the "Six Sigma" label.
Telecommunications
The field of telecommunications includes local, regional, national and international firms that supply a multitude of voice and data services across fixed line and wireless connections. Over the past ten years this dynamic industry has experienced more change than in the previous century as a result of deregulation, technological advancement, and entrepreneurialism.
