Message from the Associate Dean
The School of Business and Management at Azusa Pacific University offers two
outstanding graduate degree programs: the Master
of Business Administration (MBA) and the Master
of Arts in Human Resource and Organizational Development (MHROD). The MBA
is the premier calling card for the business executive, and here at the School
of Business and Management, we take the education of business leaders very seriously.
Designed around a 36-unit core curriculum, our MBA Program covers everything from economics to finance, management to international business. Our goal is to provide an in-depth educational experience that utilizes classroom discussion, teamwork projects, simulations, and case-study methodology, allowing for review and learning around real business challenges. Our graduate faculty members are outstanding scholars and business professionals who bring many years of business experience to the classroom.
Today’s challenging business environment increases the demand for business executives who understand the constantly changing nature of business and how organizations must adapt in order to maintain their competitive advantage. Because of this, our MHROD offers the executive with an interest in organizational development a program specifically designed with a focus in this area. Our 36-unit core curriculum follows guidelines developed by the American Society for Training and Development and the National Society for Performance and Instruction.
Finally, our MBA and MHROD programs include the vital aspect of addressing the spiritual nature of humankind, as our professors integrate their Christian faith into the learning experience. This offers a holistic learning experience that goes beyond most secular MBA and organizational development programs, ensuring that every aspect of the business executive’s life is considered while in the program. This yields business professionals who are well-rounded and better prepared to engage the world of business and commerce with all the knowledge and tools they will need to lead their organizations.
We would be delighted to have you join us in our MBA or MHROD program.
Orlando Griego, Ph.D.
