Overview

APU’s most rigorous economics degree, the business economics major prepares students to make sound business decisions. Economists study how societies create and distribute value among their members. This program provides a solid business foundation, covering beginning economics, accounting, business law, international business, finance, statistics, and marketing. Later coursework introduces strategic management and organizational behavior. These then serve as a framework for in-depth study of advanced economic systems, labor concerns, financial markets, environmental economics, urban and regional economics, and international trade.

The program also explores the economics of religion, a Christian’s place in the business world, and the principles of ethical decision-making. Business economics majors leave APU ready to guide their businesses through a complex economic environment.
