Corrie Loeffler
cinema and broadcast arts major
Corrie participated in the 2002 Jeopardy College Championship where she advanced to the semi-finals. She is a junior cinema and broadcast arts major. After graduation, she plans to pursue a doctorate in film, then become a professor of the same subject.
Deana Porterfield, M.A.
associate vice president for enrollment
Since Deana began working at Azusa Pacific 14 years ago, she has served as an admissions counselor, assistant director and director of undergraduate admissions, dean of admissions, and dean of enrollment. Today she is associate vice president for enrollment.
Ilene Bezjian, DBA
Dean, School of Business and Management
Ilene Bezjian, DBA, began working at APU in 1993. She has been dean of the School of Business and Management since 2000.
Richard Slimbach, Ph.D.
chair and professor, Department of Global Studies and Sociology
Richard Slimbach, Ph.D., began teaching at Azusa Pacific in 1991. He is now chair and professor of the Department of Global Studies and Sociology. He and his family frequent the Trader Joe's in Eagle Rock.
Duane Funderburk, DMA
Dean, School of Music
Duane has been the dean in APU’s School of Music since 1999. He earned a BMA in piano performance and secondary music education from Seattle Pacific College; an MMA in piano performance from Boston University; and a DMA in collaborative piano from the University of Southern California.
Gloria Romero, Ph.D.
California State Senator
Gloria Romero represents the 24th State Senate District. Sen. Romero earned a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of California, Riverside. She will visit Azusa Pacific University on March 15.
Chris Brown '95
Campus Pastor
Before beginning as campus pastor in 2001, Chris Brown '95 was the youth pastor at Pomona First Baptist.
