Strengths of Competence
In order to identify what the Noel Strengths Academy refers to as “strengths of competence”, we utilize a tool known as the Clifton StrengthsFinder©, named for the father of the strengths movement, Donald Clifton.
In order to identify your “top five” themes of talent, talents that may be on their way to becoming strengths, you will need to purchase one of the Gallup Organization’s strengths-based resources. Each of these resources comes with a unique access code that allows you to go online and take the StrengthsFinder assessment.
The resources that contain an access code include books such as StrengthsFinder 2.0 by Tom Rath, Strengths-Based Leadership by Tom Rath and Barry Conchie, Now, Discover Your Strengths by Marcus Buckingham and Donald Clifton, Living Your Strengths: Discovering Your God-Given Talents and Inspire Your Community by Albert L. Winseman, Donald Clifton, and Curt Liesveld, and StrengthsQuest by Donald Clifton, Edward “Chip” Anderson, and Laurie A. Schreiner.
The book How Full is Your Bucket by Tom Rath and Donald Clifton, also includes a StrengthsFinder access code.
