Thriving Conference

“Pathways to Thriving”

Join us at the 2017 Thriving Conference where we will facilitate a scholarly dialogue that highlights research, perspectives, and best practices that lead to greater levels of student success in higher education among a constituency that includes but is not limited to student affairs professionals (e.g., vice presidents of student affairs, deans of students, student life directors, academic advisors, etc.) and faculty. Our theme this year explores the various transitions that college students encounter: first-year, sophomore, transfer students, and the senior transition to career and life. Additionally, the theme focuses on strengths development as a vehicle for thriving in those transitions, as well as a means for building resilience in students.

At the conference, we anticipate diversity of thought, interactive workshops, and meaningful conversation among faculty and student life/student affairs staff that explores ideas and strategies aimed at helping students thrive during the inevitable transitions of college life. Our goal is for conference participants to gain fresh insights and new strategies for building resilience, developing students’ strengths, and promoting students’ thriving academically, interpersonally, and psychologically.

  • Group and Presenter Rate: $260 per person (group rate applicable to universities/colleges that register three or more faculty/staff)
