“Thriving in Community: Becoming a Strengths-Based Campus”

The Noel Academy for Strengths-Based Leadership and Education at Azusa Pacific University is seeking proposals for the 2014 Thriving Conference, “Thriving in Community: Becoming a Strengths-Based Campus.”

The conference begins Thursday, October 9, in the Felix Event Center Hall of Champions on APU’s West Campus and will transition to the Hilton Pasadena in the beautiful city of Pasadena on Friday, October 10, and Saturday, October 11.

The conference creates an opportunity for scholarly dialogue that highlights research, perspectives, and best practices that lead to greater levels of student success in higher education among a constituency that includes, but is not limited to, student affairs staff (e.g. vice presidents of student affairs, deans of students, student life directors, and academic advisors) and faculty.

We look forward to the diversity of thought, interactive workshops, and meaningful conversation among faculty and student affairs’ staff as we explore ideas and strategies aimed at cultivating a campus community that enables all students to develop and thrive academically, relationally, and emotionally.

Registration Fee:
Standard Rate: $295 per person
Early Bird Rate: $260 (must register by July 31, 2014)
Group and Presenter Rate: $260 per person (Group rate applicable to universities/colleges that register three or more faculty/staff)
