Geographical and Historical Setting of the Bible
The Department of Religion and Philosophy regularly offers a three-week, travel-study course and tour of the Bible lands (i.e., Israel, Egypt, Greece, Italy, and/or Turkey) during interterm and/or summer. The comprehensive course, UBBL 350 Geographical and Historical Setting of the Bible, emphasizes the geography, history, and archaeology of the Bible lands, and also introduces the student to the post-biblical history of the land, the Holocaust, and the complex social issues facing the modern nation of Israel. This course meets a general studies core requirement in God’s Word and the Christian Response. For additional information, contact the Department of Religion and Philosophy, (626) 815-5450.
