Israel Summer Travel-Study Program
Program Description
Come experience a unique travel-study program in Israel! This comprehensive course of study emphasizes the geography, history, and archaeology of Israel in biblical times, as well as introduces the post-biblical history of the land, the Holocaust, and the complex social issues facing the modern nation of Israel.
The main part of the 21-day program is based at Jerusalem University College on Mt. Zion (www.juc.edu). The experience of taking part in an archaeological dig at Tel Rehov (www.rehov.org) is an optional component of the program. The tour and optional dig is open to all APU undergraduate and graduate students, alumni, students from other colleges and universities, and interested individuals. Course Description
UBBL 350 Geographical and Historical Setting of the Bible. Meets general studies core requirement for God’s Word and the Christian Response/Bible. Prerequisites: completion of 100- and 200-level general studies requirement or instructor’s approval.
