Registration

In order to register for Teacher Interview Day, please follow the instructions below for school districts and candidates. In addition, please note that school districts must create an online account and then register separately for Teacher Interview Day. It is a two-step registration process.

Instructions for School Districts

  1. Go to the Office of Career Services home page.
  2. Click on APU Career Network.
  3. Click on Employers and create an account if you do not already have one.
  4. Once logged in, click Career Fair and Evening with Industry at the top.
  5. Click on Register for Teacher Interview Day May 2009.
  6. Fill in all required fields and click “Submit.” Once you submit your information, click on “Confirm” to ensure the information you provided is accurate. Please note that the cost for the event is $150 per school district due at the time of registration. This fee is non-refundable.
  7. As soon as you have registered online and submitted payment to the Office of Career Services, you will receive confirmation of your reservation and an invoice or a receipt if paying with a credit card.
  8. The deadline to register is Tuesday, April 14, 2009. There will be a $75 late fee added to register after this date.

Instructions for Candidates

On May 12, 2009 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 12 p.m., job seekers will have the opportunity to set up afternoon interviews with public and private school districts at their booths. Afternoon interview time slots are limited, so job seekers should arrive at Teacher Interview Day as early as possible. After 12 p.m., district recruiters will be available for interviews only with those who registered that morning. To attain an interview, you must sign up on the day of the event (May 12, 2009). Most interviews will take place from 1–4:30 p.m.

Candidates: Please note that online sign-ups for interviews are no longer available.

Your Résumé

For feedback on your résumé, please stop by the Office of Career Services between March 3 and April 30, 3:30-5:30 p.m. for a 30 minute session. The office is located on East Campus in Magnolia Court.

To upload your résumé

  1. Login to APU Career Network
  2. Select Documents at the top of your profile
  3. Select "Add New."
  4. Create a label for your document
  5. Select "resume" for document type.
  6. Select your document to upload
  7. Click "Submit."

Credential Status

For teacher candidates with an expected graduation of July 2009 or later, please contact your credential analyst to obtain a Credential Status Letter prior to interviewing. It is strongly recommended that you complete this step by May 1. You will need to bring copies of this letter to your interview(s).
