Gordon Coulter, Ed.D., has spent much of his career focusing on the development of servant leaders in the Church through his passion for teaching. He has combined these interests at APU. He gave leadership in the development of the Master of Arts in Christian Education (M.A.C.E.) with an emphasis in Youth Ministry Program. This degree equips church and parachurch youth workers with the ability to effectively minister to today's youth. Coulter has spent 30 years teaching and training APU students, and maintains an active ministry life through pastoring a local multiethnic church. His outstanding work with youth and youth workers earned him the well-deserved recognition of Pastor of the Year in 1985 by Youth for Christ. In 2002, the Southwest District of the Wesleyan Church recognized his significant work as a pastor of local churches.
