Russell Duke, Ph.D., began his career by teaching Bible and music at the high school level for four years. He then became a pastor to a congregation in Topeka, Kansas, before working in church administration for the Worldwide Church of God (WCG). After pastoring in Missouri for six years, Russell moved to the university classroom, teaching music, communication, and theology courses at Azusa Pacific University. He has coordinated an educational center for WCG youth, taught an array of general studies courses, and served on the General Studies Council.
