High School Concurrent Enrollment Program

University College offers high-performing high school students the opportunity to enroll in college-level courses through its Concurrent Enrollment Program. These courses may articulate to meet high school credits, and may be transferable to a student’s future postsecondary program.

To participate in the Concurrent Enrollment Program, 10th–12th-grade students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA at their school and complete the program criteria (listed below).

Application Procedures

NEW STUDENTS: A new 10th–12th-grade student must apply online. This includes any student who has not been enrolled in the previous 12 months at UC. The first step to starting the application process with UC is to connect with one of our program representatives.

CONTINUING STUDENTS: Continuing students (previous enrollment at UC in the past 12 months) do not need to submit a new application unless they are graduating from high school and meet the criteria to enroll as a full-time, regular status college student.

In addition to the online application, all students must submit the following items:

  1. Concurrent Enrollment Registration Form (PDF): submit prior to each semester
  2. Official high school transcript: submit after each high school semester while in attendance at UC
  3. Concurrent Enrollment Parent and Student Agreement (PDF)
  4. 10th-grade applicants must also submit a recommendation letter from their high school principal (or designee)

Note: Students enrolled in a home study program must provide an officially recognized home study certificate in place of the high school transcript.
