Meet the Staff

    Rev. Chris Adams, Ph.D., is executive director of CVM, and also teaches ministry leadership and pastoral care/counseling courses at Azusa Pacific Seminary. Chris is a third-generation pastor’s kid, and is also an ordained minister with a number of years of pastoral ministry experience, including 8 years as a campus pastor at APU. Also a clinical psychologist, Chris conducts research in clergy health and well-being, and is a consultant to a number of denominations and seminaries in the areas of clergy candidate assessment, clergy health, and pastoral leadership formation.

    Jenn oversees ministry-focused mentoring for undergraduates and CVM women-in-ministry initiatives, and she is the chaplain to Azusa Pacific Seminary students. Jenn is an ordained minister, an alum of APU (B.A. ’00), and an adjunct faculty member in the APU School of Theology’s Department of Practical Theology. She has pastoral leadership experience in church ministry and campus ministry, including seminary chaplaincy. Jenn is working on her Doctor of Ministry in Leadership, and is a frequent guest preacher and retreat speaker.

    Freddy serves as a mentor to APU undergraduate students who are discerning a call to vocational ministry. An APU alum, he has been in pastoral ministry for 17 years and is planting an Evangelical Friends church in Temple City, California.

  • Rev. Dick Pritchard, D.Min.

    Dick mentors ministry students and pastors, and is involved in coordinating CVM’s consulting and continuing education opportunities for ministry leaders. He has almost 50 years of ministry leadership experience and is professor emeritus at APU, having recently completed 14 years as chair of the Department of Practical Theology.

    Joe is assisting with the CVM Youth Leadership Initiative, encouraging, mentoring, and equipping youth pastors and Azusa Pacific Seminary students. An Azusa Pacific alum, he is a professor or mentored ministry for Azusa Pacific Seminary, and also serving as the pastor of service and outreach at a local church.

    Senika provides the CVM team with administrative leadership and coordination, and has many years of ministry administrative experience in local church and university settings.

    Jaime assists the YLI team with administrative needs, and has served in administrative roles for more than 10 years in the local church and university.

  • Associate Director for the Youth Leadership Initiative

    Chris leads the YLI team to create resources and experiences that help high school students explore and discover their ministry calling, in partnership with parents and youth workers. Chris is an alumnus of APU (B.A. ’04, M.Div. ’07) and has served in youth and family ministry for more than 12 years. He is also the SoCal regional coordinator for the Made to Flourish network.

    Melissa is an M.Div. student at Azusa Pacific Seminary. She has experience working in ministry event coordinating, as well as ministry with children, youth, college students, and young adults. Her main passions are spiritual formation and young adult ministry.
