The Los Angeles Times Asks "Pollock (or not)"

Los Angeles Times writer Suzanne Muchnic examines the story behind Azusa Pacific University's upcoming art exhibit, Revisiting Pollock. The exhibit, which features 17 paintings on canvas and paper attributed to 20th century artist Jackson Pollock, opens this weekend and runs October 4-11.

The article shares how the exhibit came about, through the connection of Board of Trustees member Howard Kazanjian, who brought the opportunity to the university's attention.

Quoted within the article, Executive Vice President David Bixby, Ed.D., said of the exhibit, "It's a great educational opportunity for our students." Muchnic also discusses the controversy behind authentication, and the story of how owner Erich Neumeth obtained the paintings.
