Audio Adrenaline Comes to APU
On March 11, 2006, Grammy award-winning Christian rock band Audio Adrenaline performed at APU's Felix Event Center on West Campus for one of the band's last shows.
Playing to a crowd of over 1,200 fans, Audio Adrenaline performed a career-encompassing collection of songs, such as Big House, Get Down, Hands and Feet, and many more chronicling their 15 years as a band. One especially enthusiastic group of die-hards made the trek all the way from Mexico to watch the concert and a few of the lucky fans were brought up on stage to assist with the singing.
The concert showcased the band’s growth musically as well as spiritually as they dived into songs and stories from their humble beginnings to the well-known and industry-respected rock group that they are today.
An APU favorite, Tyrone Wells, was one of two opening acts for the show. Wells delighted the crowd with a 45-minute set featuring some of his better known tunes.
"I came out tonight to see Tyrone Wells. You just can't beat Sea Breeze," said Derrick Murray '06, referencing one of Tyrone's most asked for numbers.
This Holiday Life also made their APU stage debut in exciting fashion, opening up the evening to an large crowd and introducing the audience to their music. Their energetic set was well-received by those in attendance and prepared the stage for an excellent night of music.
