Gathering of Nations
Bright flags hanging on the walls of north Upper Turner Campus Center welcomed consul representatives from seven countries to Azusa Pacific. Consuls representing Armenia, Brazil, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, and Thailand attended the fourth annual consulate luncheon. Current students from represented countries also attended.
Jon Wallace, DBA president of APU, addressed the attendees. Commenting on the current lack of global peace, he applauded the sight of represented nations gathering peacefully. Together, a meal was shared and the University Choir and Orchestra (UCO) gave an a cappella concert.
"The consuls presence on campus is part of an ongoing effort to introduce APU to the international community," said Kendra Pearson, organizer of the event. The International Center and International Marketing hosted the luncheon and hopes to strengthen international relationships with representatives in the Los Angeles area.
