Notes from the Field: Kenya, May 21
Oh, how we wish you all could see even just a glimpse of what we have seen since we have arrived in our first village, Cheloiyo. We were greeted by the entire village and quickly made to feel at home. We held an evening crusade on Saturday night and then Sunday shared in an amazing time of worship and praise at lunch. Stacie and Kierra shared their testimonies and Pastor Joel brought a powerful word on obedience.
It has been incredible to already see how God is using each of us. At some points, we were overwhelmed with the love and joy of the Kenyan people and can barely take it all in. Sunday afternoon, we held a children's program for over 100 kids, and shared the story of Daniel and the lion's den. I think for each of us there are very few words to describe what God is doing in and through us.
Not only are the people beautiful inside and out, but we are surrounded by a landscape of God's Majesty. Kierra might have said it best, "there is nowhere else I would rather be.” We all are adjusting to the food fine and can truthfully say, we have enjoyed every bite! Please continue to pray for good health, as we can tell your prayers are working-- so far no problems!
Thank you for all of your support and love. We feel it in such mighty ways! Out next few days will include time at two elementary schools, home visits, and building a church.
Bwana Asifiwe! (Praise the Lord!)
