An Evening of One Acts
“I am Captain Neato-Man!” exclaimed Pete Berry ‘07, who was dressed as a superhero in the one-act play, “The Adventures of Captain Neato-Man.” This play was one of five one-act plays, written, directed, and produced by APU students performed November 20-22.
“The plays were so much fun,” said Andrea Sturman ’04. “I got a kick out of 'The Actors Nightmare.' It was so funny I started crying.”
These plays ranged in time from 30 minutes to an hour, each with their own cast and director. They covered topics from serious romantic plays to silly plays about crazy families with superheroes.
“The writers and directors presented great ideas,” said Ivy Connolly ’04. “Each play conveyed a creative, unique story that was very enjoyable to the audience.”
In its 10th annual year, the one acts have proven to be an APU campus favorite. “I was impressed by how many people came,” said Cathrin Long ’04. “This was the first time that the Evening of One Acts sold out.”
