Biography

Irene Valdovinos, LCSW, MPH, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and research faculty at APU. She received her Master of Social Work and Master of Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2012. She has experience working in the fields of mental health and substance use treatment as a clinician in integrated care programs. In these positions, she offered individual, family, and group counseling services. More recently, in her role as a grant specialist at APU, she manages multiple federally funded projects and local-level evaluation and training contracts. Her primary interests include substance use disorder early intervention and treatment and youth and young adult health.
