Bill Rasmussen

Known to many as the “father of cable sports,” Bill Rasmussen is the founder of ESPN. Rasmussen was behind the creation of Sports Center, wall-to-wall coverage of the NCAA season and March Madness, and coverage of the College World Series. A veteran entrepreneur, Rasmussen’s creation of ESPN forever changed the way viewers watch sports programming. In addition to regular appearances on radio and television, he is the bestselling author of Sports Junkies Rejoice! The Birth of ESPN. Rasmussen is a United States Air Force veteran. He received his bachelor’s degree in economics from DePauw University and his MBA from Rutgers University.
