Robert H. Roller, Ph.D., brings a passion for cultivating difference makers into everything he does as dean. His passion for faith integration carries over to his professional service on the board of directors of the Christian Business Faculty Association, where he has served as an elected director, chair of the board, and appointed board secretary. He has also served as a conference host, conference reviewer, editorial board member for the CBFA’s Journal of Biblical Integration in Business, and chair and member of the strategic planning committee. The CBFA has honored him with two of its highest awards, the prestigious Richard C. Chewning Award in 2004 and the Barnabas Award in 2011.

Roller came to APU from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in central Ohio, where he served as dean of the Jetter School of Business and professor of management. He previously served as president of the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE)—a premier accrediting association for collegiate business programs—and before that served as professor of management and dean of the School of Business at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. While at LeTourneau, he served for seven years on IACBE’s board of commissioners, twice serving as chair. Before LeTourneau, Roller was a faculty member at Roberts Wesleyan College (Rochester, New York), Kennesaw State University (Marietta, Georgia), and Oral Roberts University (Tulsa, Oklahoma). At Roberts Wesleyan, he served as chair of the division of business and management and was the founding director of their master’s program in management.

Roller has spoken at conferences and workshops and consulted with education institutions throughout the world. He has authored many journal publications and made numerous presentations at regional, national, and international meetings. His research interests include biblical faith integration, excellence in business education, and strategic management of business schools. He also has served on the board of the European Federation of Schools.

Roller has been married to his wife, Wanda, for more than 36 years. Their daughter Laura graduated in 2015 from John Brown University and their daughter Rachel is a first-year honors student at Azusa Pacific University.
