Rachel Bodell, DBA, believes in the vision of APU’s School of Business and Management to empower students to transform business and their communities by enhancing their curiosity and skills as lifelong learners with deep commitments to personal values. She strategically integrates technology, faith, and community-oriented projects in service of making learning fun and more applicable, and she ladders course assignments to advance participation and the quality of final projects designed for use in a student’s portfolio or profession.

She holds three degrees from three countries—the U.S., France, and England. Her research and teaching expertise are in the arenas of value assumptions, consumer behavior, and marketing strategies. Her industry experience includes healthcare information technology, cosmetics, and hospitality—she has worked for companies such as Estée Lauder, CompuGroup Medical AG, and Red Robin Gourmet Burgers in areas ranging from business development and marketing to sales, training, and customer service. Her education and training gave her the opportunity to rebrand and design a unique European business study-away experience for APU that generated more than $1 million in revenue.

Fun facts: Rachel is a PADI-certified scuba diver, owned a horse named J.R., and is a great-granddaughter of one of the founders of the University of Tampa. She is also a wife, a mom of two girls, and a marketing consultant for a cosmetic medical service.
