The Review of Artistic Comptencies (RAC) and Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Visual Art portfolio applications are due this Fall 2013 semester on September 27, by noon to the Art and Design Office.

About RAC: The RAC was begun as a way to measure a student’s declared professional goals against the strengths and weaknesses of completed work through the sophomore year. All students must complete a RAC Portfolio Review in order to be admitted into 300 and 400 level art  and design classes for the following semester. The RAC is also a requirement for graduation.

About BFA: The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Art is the professional undergraduate degree that is highly desired by serious students intent on pursuing careers or advanced degrees in the visual arts. All art majors take the first 18 units of the core classes in art and then apply to enter the BFA by portfolio review.
