TRiO Upward Bound: Promoting College Access and Student Success in the Azusa Community

TRiO Upward Bound has devoted itself to advancing the education goals of first-generation students across the nation since 1964. Learn how Azusa Pacific’s newly funded TRiO Upward Bound program supports 60 Azusa High School students throughout their high school experience as Upward Bound Scholars in preparation for successful admission to and completion of a postsecondary education. This presentation showcases how Upward Bound services promote academic success and personal development at each stage of an Upward Bound Scholar’s high school experience. It also highlights partnerships in the Azusa community, and addresses the importance of new collaborative efforts on campus with partnering offices to help foster transformational experiences for Upward Bound Scholars as future college students.
