Distinguished Visiting Professor of Computer Science on the Faculty of the U.S. Air Force Academy

Samuel Sambasivam, Ph.D., Engineering and Computer Science

Sambasivam was selected Distinguished Visiting Professor of Computer Science on the faculty of the United States Air Force Academy, and in this session he shares his experience serving our great country at the academy during the 2016-17 academic year. Among the major requirements of the position: assisting in the development and conducting of courses in his discipline for cadets, performing course-related research work to determine needed subject coverage, assisting in the development and direction of independent study projects for cadets, performing independent study of the educational value of cadet research efforts, reviewing content of departmental courses in his specialty area and recommending revisions (if appropriate), and serving as a consultant to departmental faculty members and cadets engaged in faculty-sponsored research projects.
