The APU School of Music is proud to host the CMEA Southwestern Section Conference on September 29, 2018. This year's conference features keynote speaker Alice Kay Kanack, the current Executive Director of the Kanack School of Musical Artistry in Rochester, New York. She is recognized internationally as a composer, teacher, and performer and is the author of the Creative Ability Development series, consisting of three volumes published through Creative Ability Development Press and Alfred Publishing. The conference will include sessions in areas of music covering the broad spectrum of general music, choir, band, orchestra, world music, composition, emerging ensembles, modern band, special learners and more. All music teachers are welcome!
