The Symphony Orchestra performs two wildly contrasting symphonies, while welcoming guest performers Julie Mackerov, soprano and Michael Geiger, bass.
The program begins with Shostakovich's 14th Symphony, a moving and somber exploration of death in eleven short movements. Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony follows in the program, the most peaceful of all his symphonies.
