Spirituality and health intersect in holistic nursing care, but many healthcare providers feel poorly prepared to provide care that is spiritual in nature. Hear from several faculty members from the School of Nursing’s Center for Spirituality and Health in a panel discussion on the value of research and dissemination of findings to close the spiritual care knowledge gap in clinical practice. We will discuss the broad scope of spirituality and spiritual care in healthcare practice and touch on ways that research has increased understanding of spiritual issues in health care and provided evidence-based strategies to improve spiritual care. We will also answer a set of initial questions before a Q&A time with the audience.
