This Symphony Orchestra and Masterworks Chorale concert features the story of 13th century Russian warrior Alexander Nevsky. This powerful music was written by Sergei Prokofiev for a 1938 film. To open the program is Beethoven’s musical depiction of Coriolanus, a tragic warrior from ancient Rome. APU student David Chang also performs the virtuoso Violin Concerto by Julius Conus.
